What should I write in a birthday card for my boss? - birthday wishes for your boss
Now that I am head of department, I am using the card for my team and I must say something more than just "happy birthday and best wishes." Ideas?

"Happy birthday, hope it is an" always works. You can also "Happy Birthday to the man in charge" if you are a friendly lot of work. Or: "Happy Birthday to someone who really deserves a happy day."
It really depends on the relationship with your boss ... but what ever thanks to you as an excellent model for the rest of us, happrier person desrve birthday as you ect, ect ...
My standard line is "Have a wonderful day" or "a wonderful birthday.
If you are a close-knit group, may be able to add some personal lines --
How do you feel about aging? Are you sensitive? Otherwise, you can create a line about "gray" or something. (Here are a few gray hairs)
